Providing compassionate, effective care for those who are hurting – this has become my passion.  I hadn’t always realized this was my passion.  In fact, I hadn’t always planned on being a therapist.  I started out teaching middle schoolers reading.  However, as I got to know my students, I quickly learned of the significant pain many were experiencing and the way that pain impacted every part of their being.  That experience – along with a coming to terms with my own pain – ignited this passion for helping those who are hurting and served as a catalyst for pursuing additional training to develop the skills necessary for effectively addressing the needs of those experiencing emotional pain.  I wanted to be able to come alongside others in the midst of their pain and journey with them towards healing, equipping them with effective tools along the way.
